,外国人の在留期間は上陸時や資格変更時に在留資格の付与と同時に決定され、許可された 在留期間（出入国管理及び難民認定法施行規則別表第二）の中で活動する事が許されていま す。現に許可を受けている在留期間は在留期限の到達する前に申請により延長する事が必要です。 在留期間の更新を希望する外国人は、地方入管局に変更を申請でき、法務大臣が更新の必要を認めるに足る相当な理由があると判断したとき許可されます。 在留期間の更新を受けないで在留期間を経過してしまうと処罰の対象とされ、退去強制の処分を受けることもあります。 |

当事務所では、申請人の皆様の状況を的確に把握させて頂いた上で、合意に基づく取得に向けたアクションプランを作成し、本プランに沿って在留資格に適合する書類を作成します。 申請者（代理人）に代わって居住地を管轄する地方入管局に出頭し申請手続を行いますので申請人の皆様が出頭される必要はありません。 尚、申請書類の中で外国文を提出する場合は入管施行規則第62条により翻訳文の添付が義務づけられています。当事務所では翻訳のサービスを行います。 |

| ■Application for Extending Period of Stay |
A period of stay is determined together with a status of residence at the time of landing or obtaining a permission of a change of stay. It is allowed for you to stay in Japan within the granted period of stay. If you wish to stay beyond the granted period of stay under the same status of residence, you are obliged to apply for Extending Period of Stay at the Regional Immigration Bureau. Foreign nationals who stay in Japan beyond their permitted period of stay are subject to punishment. |
